There is a growing tendency nowadays for parents to sendtheirchildren to register and attend a great variety of artscourses,such as dancing, calligraphy and musical instrumentstraining, etc.The attitudes of people towards this phenomenon varyfrom person toperson。

Some people maintain that these extra curriculums are ofgreatnecessity and benefits to students. According to a recentsurvey onpre-school intelligence level, the respondents who takepart inout-class courses tend to perform better than those whohaven"t.Moreover, the former can have an all-round development byacquiringknowledge and skills which are not taught in theirschools. On thecontrary, others argue that these courses wouldbring about heavyburdens to students and thus oppose to thispractice. They worryabout that students might not have adequatetime to take rest andreflect on what they have learned inschool。

As a university student, I have ever participated in someartscourses, such as singing and painting classes and they provedto behelpful for my hobby development. Therefore, as far asI"mconcerned, taking some extra curriculum courses properlyismeaningful to students" development in the long-term。Should parents send their kids to art classes?

With the development of our society and economy, parentsbecomemore concerned about the future competition of children , somoreand more parents manage kinds of ways to enhance the abilityofchildren in every aspects , like they sent their children toartclass after schoo or at weekends in order to promise their kidsamore competitive future.

The majority parents have the above view on this issue,belivingit is a good way to cultivate the children"s interests andhobbies,paving their future path in life .while there are also somepeoplewho think that this will give kids heavy burden, not reallygoodfor their growth.

In my opinion, we should respect our kids and do somethingtochild"s own interests and hobbies rather than blindness. Second,donot give too much pressure on kids, giving them ahealthyenvironment for growth is much more than attending artclasses. Should parents send their kids to artclasses?

Nowadays，it has been common that parents send their kidstovarious art classes such as music, drawing dancing ,etc. atweekendor during holiday.

Some people take it for granted and think through thismethod,their kids can make use of leisure time to learn more skillsand beprepared for the future fierce competition in the adultworld.Nevertheless, there are still some sounds against thisphenomenon,saying that it shouldn"t be encouraged.

As far as I"m concerned, I stand by the latter side, becauseitsdisadvantages far outweigh than the advantages. Above all,forchildren, play is their nature. It will do great harm to boththeirphysical and mental health if they are deprived of the righttohave enough free time. For another thing, most kids are sent toartschools to learn thing they are not even interestedin.Consequently, they will be reluctant to cooperate with theteachersresulting only in the waste of time and energy. Thus,obviously, itis better to set children free to do things in whichthey passionactually lies, rather than forcing then to go to artclasses.
